Licensing, planning and code cases

Track licenses, planning cases and code cases by parcel

One licensee profile for every license and project, planning routing with hearings and decisions, and code cases from complaint to closure, all tied to the parcel.

Business and contractor licenses with renewals and holds

Open one business or person and see every license, project and compliance note under that profile. Contractors see all their projects in one dashboard. Staff see license status before a trade permit is pulled.

License application

Verify documents and license status, record fees, then approve, deny or request corrections. Fees come from the town schedule and are shown line by line before payment.

Renewal queue

See licenses expiring soon, send renewal notices, process renewals and flag expired licenses. Renewal creates a linked record and moves the license to renewal pending until it is approved and paid.

Hold and condition

Place a hold or add a condition with a reason, and clear it when the issue is fixed. Suspension or revocation needs a supervisor role and a logged reason.

Public license lookup

Look up a contractor or business license number, status and expiry without sign-in. Public lookup shows license number, business name, status and expiry only.

Planning and zoning routing, hearings, decisions and conditions

Create a planning case, link parcels and applicants, and route it to reviewing departments with due dates. Schedule meetings and hearings, record agenda, notices, attendance and outcome, then record the decision.

  • Routing to each department starts that department review clock with a due date and reminder.
  • A hearing notice date is required before a hearing can be marked held.
  • A case cannot be decided until required reviews and hearing steps are complete or waived.
  • Conditions of approval stay on the case and carry to later permits on the same parcel until met or waived.
  • The decision record shows approval, denial or tabling, conditions, appeal deadline and the decision letter.

Hearing dates, notice dates, agenda, attendance and outcome stay on the case record and are visible to the applicant.

Code complaints, violations, notices and closure

File a complaint with address or parcel, category, description and photos, named or anonymous. Investigate, add violations with code references and deadlines, send notices and record field visits with photos.

  • Anonymous complaints store no name, email, phone or other personal detail about the complainant. The filer keeps only a case number to check status.
  • A case cannot close while a violation is open unless a supervisor waives it with a logged reason.
  • Every notice, visit, photo and escalation is dated and written to the parcel history.
  • Complainant, owner and public see different views of the same case. Public view shows only public fields.
  • See cases due for reinspection, escalate overdue violations, record citations, liens or fees, and close with a reason.
